Anyone notice the Type 81 behind the 97? Is realsword hinting on a future type 81 Assault rifle |

Shouldn't this be in the China section? and yea type 81 would be cool, but not like I would buy one. It just doesn't look cool enough. Anyways Real Sword had a lot of things they were releasing but didn't, like the QBZ 97 to 95 conversion kit, possibly the QBU-88 along with the M4s they were going to release.

No words on the QBU-88 I'm really hoping for the type 81 in Light machine gun format. This is a Airsoft gun related topic but it could easily be in the PLA thread too. but I'm more into older guns |

It's a banner on the realsword website nothing secret about it. There was no type 81 in the background picture until recently.

Can't you just mod it to LMG version yourself with a high cap drum mag, carrying handle, and maybe wooden furniture if you really want it?

Early model type 81s came with wooden stocks but the folding stock version became the standard when the type 81 was issued. It all depends if real sword makes the standard type 81 or the early one. Lacking a tang to attach a wooden stock the standard type 81 would require alot of work to mount a wooden stock.

I think I said it many times that they can't export anything currently used by the PLA due to export restrictions with the Chinese goverment.
