Cool Custom Guitar Case

Foam Block
Hotwire Foam Cutter
Cheesy Leopard Print Fabric
Hot Glue Gun (low temp)
Patient Wife (that consistently rolls her eyes at her nerdy husband)

Go ahead, laugh! When I showed up for a skrim and all the guys laughed, then they all came over and said "dude, you have too much time on your hands. But that's awesome".
Truth be told this took me 3 weeks to complete because I honestly have very little free time. At least I finally got a subtle carrier for my gun :P

hahahaha

Very nice!

I use a guitar case also but just the case, not the extra foam... my gun is just large enough to fit in there so it really looks like a guitar when on my back...

Still a nice project.. I like that leopard thing...lol

Nice. Creative.

Did you add foam to the top cover? No retention straps so I'm guessing the fit is snug and doesn't lean forward too much when being carried. I find some soft guitar cases to have too much give in the cover.

I've debated using my bass hard case since Ive never used it after getting a soft case, but with it's size I might as well just use the double gun case I have.

You're right, a hard case is the right way to go. I used this case because I had it the attic for 3 years collecting dust :P

The thick foam completely fills the interior keeping it tight. The exterior pockets are rammed with the rest of my supplies (gloves, bb's, goggles, blah blah blah) so the whole rig is actually quite ridged. Fully loaded there is no give. It worked out very well.
