CA90 TR shooting problem

I recently purchased a used CA90 TR from a guy who plays in my area, i knew it wasn't working but i figured i could fix it. I have identified that the cut off lever is broken but that would only cause semi to not function but here is my problem. When i fire the gun BB's just roll out of the barrel, i did a quick test with the mech box out of the gun and when the trigger is pulled the air nozzle goes back and forth but never stops at the same postion once you stop pulling the trigger, i would think that when you stop shooting that it would remain in the closed postion.

Help or insight would be much appreciated.

this is my first repair so be gentle.

On auto, the nozzle will never stay at the same place.
But it will return to the right spot just before the piston is released.

You have a problem with either the hop-up/barrel/rubber or the piston/cylinder/nozzle assembly.

Easiest is to check the hop-up first. You just have to remove the upper receiver and then push/twist/pull the hop-up and barrel out of it.

Carefully remove the clip and the rubber. If there is even the slightest tear, you have to change it (when air pressure build-up, the tear opens and vents all the air). It is possible that it was bunched and just not seated properly.

If that does not fix it, you will have to open the mechbox. By the way, a TM compatible cut-off lever works with the CA90.

If you still have issues, check for a gundoc near you or PM me if you don't find anyone local (I am from Montreal)

It uses a regular AEG rubber.
I recommend a guarder clear or Prometheus purple.

Yes.

You can also get it "locally" from airsoftparts.ca Prices after shipping are really close, not even enough to be worth it on small orders.

That "cylinder" is the hop up nub. It's what the hop up actually pushes against to add pressure to the hop up rubber, thus creating a back spin effect. AFAIK, the CA hopup comes a clear nub installed. You should carefully remove it and install the purple nub and see how it affects your performance.
