KWA G36 not shooting after spring change
Hi, I changed my spring in my KWA G36. Since then, when I shoot, no bbs get out after pulling the trigger 2-3 time, the bbs just fall out of the barrel. The gun sounds just like before I changed the spring! I checked the hop up and it was already set to the lowest point. Is there someone that can help me?
P.S. Please don't tell me to find a gun dock. I would like to fix it myself, that's how I learn! |

1) - What's the spring make and type?
2) - Sounds like a nozzle or tappet plate problem. Did you pull anything else out other than the spring and spring guide?

If the cylinder is ported, check that it's installed the right way. Port to the rear.
Re-check your compression as your losing a lot of it if the BB's just fall. Put a but of lube on the piston head oring, cylinder head oring and nozzle oring if it has it. |

The new srping is from Modify m100. That's what the guy at the store told me to put in to get around 350fps for interior play...
Well I had to reinstall almost everything in there a part from 2 gears... Maybe I reinstalled the tapet plate wrong. I'll check it again tonight, I'm at work right now... Wow that thing is a $%"/%? to put back together the first time (trigger assembly!) Thanks for the tips. |

yea make sure the air nozzle is clipped to the tapet plate and make sure the port is the right way and to the rear of the gearbox.
also since you will have it apart again do a compression test on it just to be sure

Thanks guys, tapet plate was not installed correctly! I checked the compression while the mechbox was opened, but I don't seem to have good compression. I can feel that there's compression, but I still can push the piston all the way to the end with ease! My gun is not old, got it like 1 month ago and I shot less than 1000 bbs with it. So I guess the compression was like that from the start. I'll try to check it with a chrono just to see if it's ok...

Heads up, the Modify 100 spring spits out around 360-370fps with 0.20g BBs, is what I've found across the couple dozen guns I upgraded with it. Best for indoors, the Modify 90, sits around 330fps.

Thanks, I'll check into it... I'll go get a M90 just to be sure.

Depends on a lot of factors, other upgrades will affect it, but that is generally what I found with that spring. And just know, it's all across the board epending on manufacturers, at least Modify is 90% predictable.
