SRC vs G&G

as the title says, I'm kinda torn between getting a SRC http://www.shootsoft.ca/clearsoft/pr...roducts_id=298

and a G&G
http://www.shootsoft.ca/clearsoft/pr...roducts_id=166
my problem is necessarily price, but more of which is the better buy. I'm assuming that the SRC being quite more would be more reliable. Although I have not heard bad things about G&G either
please if you can give any insight into this matter it would help

I'd choose G&G.

I've seen a couple SRC.. and alot of things are ass-backwards in there.

One piece hop-ups in bodies designed for two piece hop-ups, little external bits not lining up properly..

G&G has a much better external fit and finish and the only thing you really need to change is the piston head.

I'd say 50/50 because I like SRC internally and I also like G&G externally. Both version can crack since the one you can get are basically CAS version. If you get age verified here, then you can get full black guns. I know one of my friend has a G&G mp5 and M4, internally the air seal suck. But like what AMOS said basically it just need a new piston head. I only like the SRC G36 and I know for sure that SRC m4 and AK are TM compatible. Im guessing the SRC G36 are TM compatible too since TM, CA mags fit well in the SRC G36 mag-well. With G&G AK receiver you have to get G&G AK receiver, unless you modify the G&P AK receiver. The G&G m4 needs a lil bit of modification if you plan to change it to full metal, unless you get the G&G m4 metal receiver.

G&G, my src is garbage. Take down sucks, and lots of parts come totaly f'ed up. The inner barrel on most src's come with a bend so dont expect accuracy even though its a tight bore, and the hop up absolutely sucks.

G&G is just better and more people have experience with it.

thanks, I'm fairly certain I'll get a G&G now. is it possible to replace the front sight with this one? I prefer a flip down sight.

Post My quick G&G GR16 CQB-R review.

I have a G&G G4 CQB-R, tinted lower receiver. Stock, it shoots 340 FPS - perfect for CQB limits.
Effective range is about 100 feet, using 0.2g, calm winds. You could lob it to 120 feet.

At 100 feet, I hit a square foot target 100% of the time. Save a few flyers - I do recycle my BBs a few times...

Equiped with an EOTECH replica, shooting standing, I get 1.5" groupings at 28 feet.

Mine came with rail covers, vertical foregrip and iron sights.

It's my first and only AEG, but I think it's a solid weapon. There is very little barrel wobble. It sometimes misfeed on full auto, but mainly due to lack of tension in the highcap mag spring. You just need to wind again and shoot.

I saw the video of SRC vs G&G: G&G shoots at a realistic rate-of-fire. The SRC is faster than a real M4. If you stick a 9.4V battery in your G&G, it will shoot just as fast, at the potential expense of lifespan.

My only beef would be with the Crane stock, in which it's very difficult to fish the wires without damaging them seriously (read: severing). Even the guy in the video explaning how to change the battery does not succeed and finally gives up! ROTF!

Hopefully you have better luck with G&G than I did. I bought an AK, took it home, and after literally ten shots one of the gears exploded.

Being a total noob, I couldn't figure out what had happened and didn't dare take it apart to find out (the grinding noise certainly didn't sound so great) and so marched back to the shop as soon as I could. The fella' took it apart and a dozen little pieces fell out, much to my dismay.

I've been trying (with little success) to return the damn thing and get my money back. The gundoc is cool, but I'm starting to think that the shopkeeper is avoiding me. Gah, for a bit more cash I could've gotten a friggin' RS...
