shorty sniper rifle any good???

hi,

recently my vsr-10 clone completely broke and im not sure if i want to spend the money to fix it. I was looking at the shorty sniper rifle on buy airsoft.ca due to its lower price and shorter length. I am just wondering if this rifle is any good to buy. I am most concerned about the internals of the gun and if they are good.

thanks for any replies

No airsoft 'clone' sniper rifle is good to buy.

Seriously, after buying your first one you'd learn.

For a sniper rifle, simply put: If its cheap, its not worth bothering with in the first place. These weapons are made to take a lot of strain and wear to accomidate the powerful parts required to make these guns accurate. Clone sniper rifles are made out of shitty metal with shitty tolerances. No matter what the make it is. If its not the original gun, its not worth getting. And all in all. Its going to be very expensive to have these weapons shooting properly.

If money is an issue, perhaps airsoft 'sniping' isn't for you.

Just remember. Cheaper is never better in the terms of airsoft sniper rifles.

Accurate, reliable, and not that expensive don't go well together. Accurate, reliable, and highly upgraded do, but a fourth adjective is needed and that is 'expensive'.

No one will tell you where to get airsoft in Canada unless you're age verified on these boards. Them's the rules.

You can find a decent gun for about 400$. But that is in the AV section here. A JG or Echo1 or DBoy rifle with some minor upgrades to fix the crappy quality control and you have something decent.

But then again, get AV.

If you want to snipe: go quality or... go to hell.
Because clone rifles won't take the upgrades and if they do, the tolerance is so laxe, you won't get any performance.

+1, you can't save money on a good sniper rifle. TM VSR-10's are only around 350$ and they work great stock for short engagements and being REALLY quiet

Speaking of that... I've got designs for an air-break that can be integrated into the PDI VC Piston head

Got any spare aluminum or POM?

Not bad, but get ready to change the gears and piston. They are very low quality in that gun.

Get age verified. For the same price you can get a gun that is already upgraded with a bunch of mags.

But it says that it has already been upgraded, with a stronger motor and piston. thats why it's called the advanced version.

or, am i completely wrong?

They just say that to get money out of you. Its better to listen to people that have actually run through with these things than what buyairsoft.ca spews at you. They're not a very reputable retailer. At all.

Head to a game, if you're nice, and they're nice, maybe someone will let you test fire a quality gun. Take notes on what it is, and what's been done to it, and where to get one of your own. If you need pointers on how to upgrade shit, that's where gundocs and google come into play. Plus you can get AV'd if there's one there, then you can peruse the classifieds and find the already quality upgraded toys, and package deals.

Strelok, goddamnit, your avatar still fucks me up.
