Cool Faulty Slide Catch?

I was doing some testing on my KJW M9 and discovered that the slide catch is temper mental. It appears to be loose fitting in the trigger frame which I've looked into. I found the slide catch itself isn't fixed to the trigger frame with any screws, it is just a friction fit with the action spring. As a result the catch itself is loose in the gun and when the last round is spent the bench on the clip forces the slide catch out instead of up to catch the slide in the open position.
Has anyone encountered the condition or know more about it that I do(I am a newbie of sorts)?
I like to keep my hardware in the best condition and would like to tune this problem up.
Thanks
