RPK barrel and stock dimensions?
Hey, I'm looking to get an inner barrel to convert my AK to an RPK. Does anyone know what the length of the inner barrel should be? Also in not sure how tight the barrel should be either, what do you recommend? Im also going to making an RPK stock and I can't find the dimensions on that, so if anyone has one or knows them offhand that would be great, Thanks.

i have a psg1 tb in mine. i believe it's 590mm. 6.03 is usually more than enough for the tb. for the RPK stock just make it a little bigger than the normal one. i don't think they differ by too much

The point of an RPK is to be a suppression weapon...you don't need a tackdriver. You actually want a fairly large spread of BB's, so a 6.08 inner barrel with a decent hopup rubber will do just fine.

Do you think it would jam if i got a 6.03? A jam at that ROF wouldn't be pretty....

Not if you use good BB's like Bastards and you clean your barrel

Another quick question, If i get an m120 spring will i need to upgrade anything else if I'm using a 650mm barrel? My ak shoots 320 atm.

I believe he meant the quality of your current internals.. are they stock? a higher compression spring will create more force on the other internals, and some things (like plastic spring guides, or shitty pistons) won't hold up to the stress. There are upgrade packages available for most of the mainstream guns that will work perfectly together with the higher FPS your looking for, but just upgrading your spring will more than likely do damage to the parts you didn't upgrade. maybe not instantaneously, but down the road.

An M120 isn't that extreme.
Your current internals would probably be fine. If they aren't they'll break and you can buy new ones. But I'd say run it as it is and buy new parts if/when they break. |

so a 650 from 455 barrel wont effect fps at all or much?

FPS might go up a bit.
But also, you'll need at least an unported cylinder. Might need a boreup kit if you find shots acting strange. |
