M4 Upper recievrer

Can anyone help me locate an upper reciever for a M4

Due to some broken tabs and an aftermarket hopup in my TM M4 I can not get the back of the M4 upper receiver to stay shut and the electrician tape just isnt the best look :P

A full metal body would be nice but is kinda pricey at the moment..

Is there any where to purchase just the upper half?

You could go look for a replacement body in the classifieds or just upgrade to a fullmetal body+ new one piece hopup.

Any occasional upper by itself will show up in the classifieds, but usually only complete sets are available. There are a number of specialty uppers produced by companies and released overseas that a retailer here could bring in for you, but they are made for GBBR's and PTW's usually, not AEGs.

Recommend you bite the bullet and get yourself a complete metal body from the classifieds.

Ebaybanned sells uppers (receivers that is). I have ordered in the past and it came through customs no problem. Don't take this as gospel though, as the monkeys that work for the CBSA seem to make up there won rules as they go.

As a rule we never suggest ordering Receivers from outside Canada. And why in all holy mother would you suggest Ebaybanned instead of an actual reputable retailer?

Confusing?

Upper receivers are not restricted items, they make it through customs, and if they don't the appeals process should work. And to be honest I'll take Ebaybanned over Evike any day of the week. Ebaybanned has free shipping, Evike probably won't even bother to ship your item out.

Ebaybanned is prob worth the 10$ more..

IS THIS M4 Upper The same size as the standard TM one?

I have a RIS that caries over on top of the stock receiver rail and want to make sure it will work.. also does it have the tabs for the rear bolt? You can not see them in the pictures.

At the back of the receiver its the holes that the pin goes through to keep it all together

It only has the tab for the front, there is no tab at the back for the pin to go through. How come u need a tab at the back anyways?

Um, none of the metal uppers here will work with a TM body. Specifically shiftline needs something with rear tabs which will allow his upper to hold in place via the rear pin.

Something like this...

Sorry I don't know where you can get one shiftline but just wanted to make sure you didn't buy the wrong thing.

If a sufficient upper cannot be sourced your existing upper maybe repaired or modded into something that you can continue to use.

Another option is this, I believe the user is the same killbucket as the one registered on this forum as well.

Fix broken M4/M16 receiver tabs for good. - Acme Airsoft
