Best hopup chamber for Ak-47?

A while ago i upgraded a few parts on my kraken ak-47, now ive upgraded a few more, the only problem im having is when i load my G&P (150round) clips past half or so, the bb's jam in my hopup chamber, so i have to carefully only fill them half way.

Now this might be because of the kraken lower reciever is set a little too far back, and the clip tops ride on the front edge of the hopup chamber, or it might be the hopup.

Either way i want a new hopup chamber, so what are your suggestions?

what's a clip?

are you sure it only jams when you fill the midcap more than half way? I'm having a hard time seeing a full mag being the cause for the jam in the hopup.

it's the ammo that's causing the double stacked G&P mags to jam, try a different brand, and the red element chamber from ebaybanned is the best one out there, the metal pro-win one has issues in clone guns.

imo:

King Arms or TM

I'm a heavy AK user and I always install King Arms on mine, works quite well. Sometimes they are picky with mags though

Oh okay, so what brand, and is 150 rounds still a decent size?

all ak midcap mags over 100 are at risk of jams, I have Cyma 150rd mags that are clones of your G&P mags but I haven't had any problems, what ammo are you using?

and yeh that's the chamber

Using .2g bb's i picked up at my local cabelas, they are a brand called 'firepower'.

I think it also might be due to the alignment of the hopup and reciever if not from the mags/ammo. This one seems to scrape the front edge of my mag ammo 'hole' each time its loaded.

edit:
If you need to see what i mean by 'scraping' the edge of the mag ammo 'hole', i would be more than happy to post a picture

Is it the stock kraken front end?

Are the hopup installation screw holes intact as they should be?

If so, the hopup should be exactly where it should be...

Firepower bb's are shit, try some bastards or another reputable brand, throw the firepowers in the garbage!

As for the install of the hopup, yes the front end is the stock kraken, as well as the receiver. When installing the hopup, i noticed the hopup unit was a bit differently set up then the stock one. Apparently one screw actually fits between the hopup and the front of the mechbox. Now while this did seem weird, it fit snuggly and seemed like the right thing to do.

This picture i found represents it best, noticing the extra 'screw hole' on the backend of the hopup

edit:
Oh, sweet. he has a picture of the hopup installed too. So yes, i did install it correctly, but the edge still runs up on the edge of my mag hole

So not sure whats causing the jamming, maybe ill order the new hopup chamber along with a new mag and some new bbs
