Painting an M4

Hey guys, I guess it's considered an upgrade or mod cause you're changing the look of your gun.

I'm about to paint up an M4 and was wondering if anyone knew some places that should be covered up/plugged other than the obvious ones like internals, the tubes, mag openings, trigger, slides, scope lens lol, threading on tuning nobs.

Or if anyone has done it before, let me know what you took apart to make the painting of it easier.

I've looked in the forum search to see if anyone else had done this, i didn't see it, if you know of a thread link it, i'd be happy to read it, other than that I've been watching video's and reading other guides today but none of which usually talk about what to cover up.

Thanks in advance!

Strip the damn thing before you paint it, don't paint it with the internals in the gun, damn, the questions that get asked on this site.

Hey that's why I ask before I do, gotta learn some how lol. Why not learn from the experienced ones? Other then trying and failing and doing it again how else does a person learn then asking people who've done it before eh?

I have painted loads of guns. The only things I ever masked or plugged up were the barrel, mag well and ejection port. Thats it.
