Your motor is more than capable or pulling the spring.
Decent ROF??? I used to run 9.6v or 7.4lipo (soon to exclusive lipo or A123 cells) with torque (systema) and triple torque gears(prometheus). You get a mechanical advantage through the gears in pulling the spring but your ROF plummets. From Standard torque to triple torque my ROF went from ~22ish with the 7.4 to 10RPS with the triple torque. Measured with a paintball chrono. As for ELEMENT products. Some good, some bad. It can be a real crapshoot for QC on the same product as well. If you can get the parts from Friends in China who are active players then that is win. If not getting Brand name parts in Asia from friends over sea's is also win. |

I stand behind Styrak's statement I use the 300% torque up Element gears in M4 with a 11.1 Lipo with no problems. My brother uses the 200% torque up and NO problems. Get what you want but I recommend the Element gears also comes with a poly-carb piston body. Best BANG for your buck haha.. See what I did there?

Yes, They are awesome gears. I don't want to get any other ones. These ones are hardend, and helical. They are straight from the Chinese company, and they haven't even shown signs of wear through about 7000 rounds. These are a step up from the 300% ones. The are called Element Max Torque. Back to the motor, would it be a good choice for my setup? Woult the torque gears take stress off the motor? The shim job was awesome.

I don't know what the hell you're all on, but element gears are garbage.

I don't agree with you,
I'm posting from personal experience. From the sound of what happened to you, it was user-error. |
