full auto is determined by the response trigger, yes. With an inline blowback poppit sytem, a response trigger is the easisest way to modulate rate of fire as it utilizes the excess air to cycle the trigger.. and yes, tuned right and it will shoot stupid fast... not 78 bps unicorn shooting fast, but fast..
and yes, this is an open blowback system.

I am trying to get at least one for TAC14, but I have no idea if that will be able to happen or not. I will hopefully know more next week once all the Tippmann staff are home from Paintball Extravaganza.

Once you see one you will understand it instantly. The ROF adjustment is a flow control to the response trigger piston. The piston actuates a rear trigger independent of the front trigger that is visible. Decrease the flow and the rear trigger slows down, increase flow it speeds up.

How is gas efficiency compared to a normal paintball gun? I assume it would be better by comparing how many shots you get out of a C02 capsule, compared to a TPX for instance.
However, a rough estimate on how many shots you can get out of a 68cu 4500psi would be great to help us illustrate just how efficient is it.

The TPX is roughly 20 shots on a 12g, above 260 f.p.s., meaning with an average velocity of 280 and shot 20 above 260, at 1/sec. There are many factors that can change this number. The M4 is 80 shots at 1/sec., again with many factors. The M4 is a 98 style valve, as you know, much different from the TPX. Last edited by R&D Engineer; February 27th, 2014 at 22:55.. |

It's also cheaper than a response trigger and somewhat more reliable Sent from my LG-P500h using Tapatalk 2
