hey guys, im experiencing a small problem with my wetti m4, it happened before i switched to a dytac MUR1 upper, and aswell after.

the piston and rod seem to get stuck about halfway through a cycle, causing the bolt to not return forward, and sometimes just continuously spraying all the propane out.
also, since getting the MUR1, because of this problem, the brass tube and barrel retract about an inch, causing misfeeds, and the next mag loaded to not seat at all.

the person i bought the MUR 1 told me the problem of the brass tube moving around could be fixed by putting a nice thick layer of electrical tape around the ring that seats the brass tube into the receiver, but it doesnt seem to be doing the trick for me.

any suggestions before i miss half a season because i had to order whole new internals for a gun i havent even gamed yet?

Took the gun out today first time since novemberish.
I would fire BBs (BB Bastard .20 and TSD .25) and they were jamming in the barrel right at the hopup/entrance. Pulled out the bolt and noticed it was FUBAR.
Took the NPAS off to see if I could wind the brass part back up to the steel, took it apart and the inside came out and looked like that.

Maybe I got a lemon, maybe it was installed improperly to begin with. Honestly dont know

dude i got one that did almost the same thing, but the rod for the piston was mangled. i replaced it a few days later.

This happened yesterday..





Was adjusting hopup, at a 10x12" target ~60ft away.
It seemed like I had it setup perfectly, 3 shots dead nuts on...
Then:
psssst gas leak
Racked bolt back
Took mag out
Refilled mag
Released bolt
Inserted mag
pssst gas leak

Disassembled and found piston broken, no Idea how its possible. Now an NPAS is a forsho upgrade..

closed bolt is fail. The hop up should be starting to kick in at 80 feet and then the bb should be landing about 120-130 feet away. At 60 feet the backspin shouldn't even be affecting the bb's flight.

At 80-90ft I get dropoff around a 2-2.5 ft. The hopup adjustment isn't the reason for the post though/

Looking back Juicy had the same, or similar thing happen (post765 bottom of P51)

Part 42 in my nozzle just died - the rear end of the floating-valve-esque-thing broke itself off the rest of the part. Gen 3 (originally Cansoft) M4A1 with basically no internal upgrades, short of the Stinger hop up adjuster and the green hop up rubber. Probably put around 1.5-2k BB's through it.

And I haven't found a clear answer yet but I need the open bolt chamber kit AND the 2nd air nozzle bit or just the open chamber kit? All I can find on Google is "Omg I can't wait!"

So um ehobby ignored me and sent me a Falcon VS-Z despite the fact that I sent an email to them a week ago telling them to cancel the out-of-stock item from an order I made a few weeks ago. Derp. Well, looks like I'll have to put off open bolt till it comes out due to lack of money + me just being really damn curious about the VS-Z hop up system for AWSS. It looks like it has promise... too bad it costs so much though - more than the open bolt kit will probably cost.

My AWSS has been benched for a while now since the Stinger hop up sucks balls and my BCG seems to freeze up totally after the 5 mags in quick succession it takes for me to hit anything. Hell, for a while there, I was adjusting my NPAS to compensate for BB weight LOL. AWSS has been nothing but headaches for me... I can't wait for the open chamber TBH.

I guess I'll wait till I see more info about it.

I'm still waiting for a review on that. Someone on Gunsguns.info says it's pretty good, although they didn't test it extensively.
