so are the new generation 552's going to have the ghosting fixed? because I'm about ready to toss my current one (even after i got it cheap and used) because the ghosting is so bad even in day light that aiming is affected. i'm more then willing to fork out 100 bucks for another one if the problem is fixed.

I was told 2 weeks ago it would be about a month and a half. So I guess another month before they are available. I saw the pre-production prototype at ebaybanned.com

Huang: obviously the next most important thing you can do is to make a flip mount for the eotech magnifier

I have herd next week for months now and I know Huang fairly well... so I dont think there is any way to tell until Huang says "Here it is!!!".
Sux wew have to wait so long but thats what makes it great... P.S. Anyone else see the new 555 and 556 at the 08' Shot Show? The EOTech 555 is like the 553 but with longer AA bateries and the 556 is like the 557 but with shorter CR123 battreries.

I gave them the picture. people in china still in holidays now and will get back to work next Monday. BTW, anybody has problem with the customs lately. I have a feeling the customs is tightening the border even with airsoft parts.

553 Flat Dark Earth news?
Also for the folks with issues adjusting other clones, ripped from Arnies re a Unicorn, had the same problem wih mine. E-mailed aftersales team and they sent me this instruction: open the unit... when you lift the bottom cover, there are two springs pushing down on the circuit board. remove it and then close the unit again. That will make it move up and down. Made mine adjust up and down now so i can zero it now. Hope this one helps. |

Without these springs, if you gently shake the unit up and down, and the aiming reticle bounces around in the eyepiece. It doesn't stay at that centre position. Where it will stop after the shaking is anyone's guess. You may have to give it a tap to get it to reset to its lowest point. And still, when "free floating like that", mine would still shoot about 14" too low at a distance of 20 feet. Confirmed that on 2 separate AEGs, and it wasn't a hopup problem, as with my iron sight or Elcan clone, I could tag the bullseye without issue.

I'm with Crunch on this one too!!! Mine was shooting 12" too low at 20 feet WITH the removal of the springs...UNACCEPTABLE!

I hope the 553 will have the goasting and the adjustiblily fixed, and better build quality would be nice too.
