I think the metal would not be able to weld. The TSC part claims to be 6061 but I am not believing that for a second. One pass with a 1/2" end mill and the chipping from it is completely different than a normal barstock 6061 as far as I can tell. I made a flat plate conversion for am AEG to use normal buffer tubes a couple years back and it worked fine with just machine screws holding the adapter in place. No reason that wouldn't work. All you would need is a threaded section on the part 66 to hold the buffer tube in place.

Yea, id say fairly crazy. Welding aluminum blows hard, both surfaces must be extremly clean or it will look ugly as sin. Its not like welding steel, its much harder to do. Part 66 is on an angle, cant remember exact degrees, but its milled at an angle so that when the stock folds it will latch onto the hook just behind ejection port. If I make this conversion kit it wont be folding (because your M4 stock wont latch anyways)

That is what you are looking for Ross. I have been beating the crap our of my SCAR with training for the past couple of weeks using the new part 27 and the new part 66. Both are holding up quite well and have passed over 10k rounds each. One trainee fell on the SCAR with the stock extended and it held up to the fall pretty well. Seems the new parts are going to work out quite well. I didn't have any issues at all with the installation on mine as far as hole alignment. The part 66 was out of spec but that was expected to happen.

did any of the tabs bend on the 27? its one thing ive been worried about is people falling on their rifles...

Nope. Tabs are still straight and level. It was a pretty big boy too. Probably 220lbs with about 60lbs of gear on him. He hit the doorway and his brain was 2 steps ahead of his feet. Next thing we saw was $300 of replica and $300 in optics hitting the ground under him. Thankfully we had a real C-more on it or a cheapo replica sight would have been crushed. From what I have seen so far I will expect the stock hinge point to crack long before the two CNC parts do any kind of damage during a fall. I'm sure we will see it hit the ground a few more times in the near future.

Well my scar is holding up ok. The steel bolt is a bit heavy though. Full auto jams sometimes. The screws that hold onto part 27 unscrewed themselves during a game. I lost one for good. Luckily the hardware store carried the perfect size. Except they are brass. O well. And the pin the connects part 66 to the stock rises up as the gun fires. I bought a 3 inch long 3/16 bolt and nut. Now I just got to paint it black. My inner barrel is a few inches too long. I think I'm just going to cut it down.

Yeah, I'd write a review.
