Yeah, I don't think we have any limitations set for extreme modifications, as long as you're in open division. Besides, most mods these days go more extreme than the shooter. LOL. If you can pull the trigger for a double tap that fast, then more power to you!

So I've been mucking around with my Hi-Capa again...
I discovered a set of Guarder high performance output valves in my bin, while finally piecing my Hi-Capa together after what feels like quite a while (I got frustrated with leaf spring/trigger stirrup installation issues and dumped it into a parts bin a month or two ago). Anyone done testing with these? I really don't want them to go to waste... I have read that they are more consistent than the high flow valves, and use less gas than high flows. However, how do they compare to stock TM valves? I'm noticing only a fractional increase in kick (that might just be me thinking that subconsciously, though). No chrono to test these out. Its 5:12 AM currently, so I don't want to go about charging up my mags with propane and testing the gas consumption as my landlords might not be too happy - does this improve over the stock valves, or is it only gas efficiency? I do recall digging up an older thread on this a year ago, and I think it mentioned something about an increase in performance, but not related to actual output of gas. Seeing as I have half a week till I can sit around with a chrono and plink, I figured I might as well ask those of you who might have compared these with other valves already. Any input? |

At one point, I'd rounded up every single high flow valve available on the market that I could get my hands on, and like my spring comparison chart, I ran them through a battery of tests to figure out how some compared against each other (to answer common questions), and of course, to find out the 'best' high flow valve of the bunch.
The verdict: KM high flow valves took top choice. I did this exact same type of test years earlier with the KSC Glock series, and the KM valves were also the cream of the crop. One of the most commonly asked questions at the time was the same one you are asking now, so to answer your questions about the Guarder set of valves: Between the two models, the High Output valves gave the highest initial velocity outputs, but had the greatest extreme spread and highest deviation. The High Performance valves featured a more stable velocity. While the highest velocity was not as high as the "High Output", and the average velocity was slightly lower as well, these had a more stable output. However, they DID provide a velocity increase over stock TM valves, although I found they were not as stable. For what it's worth, the "High Performance" valves are still considered to be high flow valves as they do increase velocity, but Guarder had created a differentiation between the two models due to slightly different performance characteristics. Choosing them came down to what performance characteristics you were after. Also note, that these valves require attention to be paid to how they are installed. The output port must face UP, and directly out of the gas routing rubber. |

hi i want to upgrade my external parts of my marui hi capa 5.1 government model , so i bought parts ;
1. SD metal slide 5" 2. SD metal frame 5" 3. SD 5" steel outer barrel straight , although i preffered the SD V12 version but i doubt its compability with other parts related 4. SD metal chamber ( for this parts , do i really need to change it ? the stock parts seems reliable for me ) 5. SD POM Cylinder Set marui Hi Capa ( is this the right parts ? ) so , what do i miss ?? |

See my reply to your PM.
But to summarize (as your post is slightly different now): 1) Metal barrel bushing is absolutely required to be used with straight barrel setup. Otherwise, straight barrel will not be supported and you will have huge cycling/accuracy issues. 2) V12 barrel is NOT compatible with barrel bushing setup 3) Not all Shooters Design slides will accept barrel bushing. You will need to check when you receive the slide. 4) I would recommend an enhanced recoil spring in the upgrade as well. 5) The POM nozzle set is the right one. I would just warn against using the floating valve it comes with, because it will malfunction if you use higher power gas like green gas / top gas / propane. As for "what do you miss" that depends on whatever other performance/aesthetic characteristics you would like to achieve. But the basic issues with your setup are outlined above.

All those parts should fit, and they are also more than enough.
Although, be prepared - the Xcelerator receiver will require a bit of fitment. If this is the first time you are doing any type of GBB upgrade or if you are not familiar with how to work with hand tools, you may find difficulty. I'm curious, where are you from? |

I did not mean to say you chose the "wrong" receiver. I just mean to say that many brands and products have quirks about them. What I mentioned about the Shooters Design receiver is just a common problem that I have seen with them - maybe due to engineering error, or due to machining error. Just so you are aware of it and are prepared to make the modifications required to fit it. |
