You're both wrong. It's not even Russian; it's a Romanian PSL. A real SVD had a significant space between the trigger guard and the mag.

It's common knowledge that optics will increase your target acquisition speed (sometimes you don't need optics/irons at all depending on range), and thus keeping you in the game longer. Same with applying REAL WORLD TACTICS. After all, this is a game, where you SHOOT other people with realistic guns. The only difference is they don't die, your wrists/shoulders don't hurt as bad afterwards, and your undies still smell as clean as they did before you heard the first round zip by you. All I've EVER said, and pushed was that the PURIST ideals are pretty lame, as YOU'RE INSINUATING YOU'D RATHER LOOK COOL, THAN PLAY WELL. As for the bandwagon bit. It's true. You're just as guilty as anyone else of OVERUSING the term "tacticool". Which in my eyes, is pretty fucking lame. Mainly because everything you've referred to as "tacticool" has had a purpose. No hard feelings dood, but seriously, don't be so closed minded. It's getting rather old. |

Who needs special optics? Who needs sights?
Just carry more ammo and get more religous.

Or catch up with the times, and use optics to that more BB's hit your intended target, thus meaning that either you carry less ammo or you last longer in a game. Makes perfect sense to me. I've never understood the aversion that people have to railed AK's.

I can aim perfect with AK sights.
I beleive it's a matter of preference. Maybe they help you aim better with goggles on, I know it can be a pain with certain guns. But I see no need for them an AK's atleast for me, if I needed help aiming I'd think about it. In my sig is a past 'argument' between Kos and Amos about this, it's something that will go on forever. It's all preference, and I see no reason to why people argue about it.

It's all about efficiency, not the "LEET OPERATOR" bullshit. If you're a "leet operator" as a result, well hey, pat yourself on the back, and masturbate to your reflection. Hell, call your self a "leet hax wizard" if it makes your ***** tingle a little more. But know it was skill, and efficiency that gotcha there. Anyway, AKs are beautiful guns. I totally understand that. Hell, I have one myself (ICS) -it's sex with whipped cream. However, I'm not going to deny the effectiveness of something, and cry "blasphemy" everytime I see a rail on it. Why, because you're forgetting... it was a tool invented to KILL shit (in the name of survival, power, or allah, it's still a fucking tool), and do it (cost)effectively. So... w/e. Fock it. Be a whiny bitch about rails. But yer just making a doosh out of yourself. |

I personally don't like the LOOKS of rails on an AK, but if you use them to improve your shooting performance, nothing is wrong with that. I myself em investing in an optic for my AKs, but decided to go the honorable way - Soviet POSP in the mail.

That's why there are Russian sights that help with the target acquisition without ruining the beauty of wood and steel.
If you want to streamlined and lightweight be my guest, put that plastic crap, just don't call it an AK-47 after. Steel and Wood. |

What I find hilarious are the people who take the simulation sport too seriously. Your whole "Purist" thing is a pretty bullshit argument. It's rather hypocritical considering having something 100% railed out is for NO OTHER REASON THAN FOR VISUAL LOOKS. An airsoft gun is not something you rely on for survival. As for the "You'd rather look cool than play well" comment... Funny. I've played for 2 years, and been on the winning team in a competitive league, as well as coming out with the least deaths of the entire league season... What was my 1337 set up? An ancient M16 Vietnam with Iron Sights. I'm reminded of a previous comment that I've read from you that was referring to an accessory made for an airsoft gun, it went something along the lines of "It was made by a real operator so it must have a purpose." Yea. It must. The purpose it so suck in HIGH SPEED OPERATORS like yourself that are willing to fork over a couple hundred dollars for a mass produced product with some one's name slapped on it. No hard feelings, but I think you need to play a little more airsoft and spend less time stroking your PTW in preparation for the zombie take over. |

Can I ask you a serious question, 1337 7yp1n9 4510E ? Where the fuck do you see any rails on ANY of my guns? lol. I run a PTW with an EOTech (getting a rail for a torch, and vert grip... ) and an AK74! lol. Also, the reason why I'd get parts from a well known company is for 3 reasons. (Try to follow along) 1) Reliability. 2) Know-how. 3) Customer Service. Not because their marketing ploy was indeed a good one, or because they had sexy half naked chicks flashing their (the company's) products in their ads (which kinda falls into the last category, but it's very noteworthy). It's simply because it WORKS. Much like why you bought a TM clone, and have a raging illogical hard-on for AKs. The Design WORKS.... therefore, you'll buy it, use it. And, believe it or not, I bought the PTW simply because of reliability, and the fact that it's 1:1 with the RS. Kind of a selling point considering my next move, n' all. Anyway, moving on .... The Zombpocalypse is infact coming, and I'd like to be ready for it. I guess you're okay. You can hide behind Bob The Angry Potato's Meat .... |
