this is a pretty simple thing here guys. odds are, on a public field, if it's illegal than it's also incorporated in to the fields policy as contriban.

it's not worth the potential bad p/r/fines/charges/all of the above.

Well, just for reference purposes:
http://www.bordeninstitute.army.mil/...hChapter05.pdf

The US army even took note that it DOES increase target accuracy and have banned it from marksmanship competitions.

Just for you dron_jones

It is quite obvious from your posts that you did not read my post or what i was trying to communicate.

Congratulation you found out that the army uses drugs on their soldiers. That was top secret information... i don't know how you hax0red the internet to find it.

Read my post again to see the point that you obviously missed.

well the thing is... its extremely easy to understand... but some people like to argue for the sake of it..

Btw, Goodriddance: I really hope you never get your hands on an Airsoft gun. But even if you do, I can pretty much say that with your attitude, you will be playing in your basement with it...Good luck getting invited to any games.

Rule number one I was tought at the archery field (and it applies to anything else related to real rifles and toy BB guns) is that you never mix the weapons with alcool on the field. We are talking about guns in the presence of other individuals, I think that this should close the subject of alcool use. And yes, many will debate that a drink can't really screw up your judgment that much, and so did a multitude of adults at the local tournament I attended, but you drank a sip and you were off to home, tent or RV, period!

Now, that implies that anything illegal or not (be it by prescription or simply that it has not been labeled yet due to it's complicated access), that can have an effect on your senses and/or judgment, should not be used during a game for everyone's safety, no matter how benign the effect on your judgment.

Finally, there comes the plain and simple point that we want to keep this sport's reputation as clean as can be in the present anti-gun political situation of this day and age, and that WE, as a community, should not tolerate the use and/or possession of illicit substances previous/during/after events, period.

Drugs are illegal, so I don't see why there even is a friggin debate about this matter in the first place!

And that the only debate there is lies against pot-head teenagers who just want pot to become legal makes me laugh in a way. It's just sad that this board we call a community is so full of individuals who have absolutely no care what so ever about the well-being of the sport, but just want to brag to their friends that they can get a gun (or already have one) and want to bring it out to have fun at school, and maybe scare a teacher or two.

Now, I also have a bad news for those pot-head teenager kids: If and when it becomes legal to use marijuana in Canada, it will only be under prescription use, and being an idiot won't be one of the symptoms that will qualify your doctor to give that prescription... Too bad, most of you would probably qualify if it were the case, so fight hard all you want, you'll still be in total illegality by using it if and when that bill passes.

Before and after, you'll still end up not being able to use it on the field. Illegal things remain illegal, and we want then the heck away from our games.

the energies spent in arguing for the sake of "because i can" could be much better spent on other things. like watching grass grow or paint dry. acknowledge the opinion and disregard his stick stirring this pot.

Play the game, then party later. If you want to stand around a bong and shoot each other in the dick with some EBBs at home, then by all means, do so.

Safety is the only issue here, and if there is an unsafe person at the game, I won't stop until they are removed/ejected. An unsafe person includes but is not limited to someone under the effects of alcohol or narcotics.

And everyone. Don't buy that, "One joint isn't going to do anything," bullshit. If it isn't going to do anything, then it can certainly wait until after the game is over.

*sigh*

</rant>

Sorry. I'm big on safety, and I utterly hate ignorant stoner fucks who have to drag their marijuana martyrdom right through the middle of everything. They're just as bad as vegetarians.

So, kiddies what have we learned today?

Drugs are bad mmmkay. Drugs are illegal. They have no place at all at any airsoft games/venues. Now repeat after me. Drugs are bad mmmkay?

NO DRUGS. no exceptions.

Excuse me?
I deserve the right to play this game just as much as you do. Just to get through the pain each day that I have from the moment I wake up, I have to take some powerful narcotics. Maybe not weed ( but that was an option that the doctor gave me) but stronmg enough pills that would make the average person seeing the proverbial pink elephant. Yet after taking these meds for 7 years to me it feels no different than my wife taking 2 Motrin.
And even with those meds in my system, I can still play this game fine and as safely asd any other member on this board.

Medical issues are some what different then recreational users. I wouldn't want some one playing high on legal but controled substances either. Of course these things (medical uses) should be a case by case basis as the meds that my dr has scripted me can send me for a loop, ie I get really really high when I mix them with diet coke (every other pop is fine though). But then I wouldn't take my meds when I'm driving or requiring alertness in the first place. Then there's people like you who due to intense pain would be unsafe with out the drugs in the first place.
