Actually I don't think anyone liked ACU when it first came out, but it really grows on you lol

This shirt is great! It feels very different from the ACU top. Almost pajama like, lol. But seriously it breaths great and looks great. Also has reinforced elbow pads, which is great. I don't ever use elbow pads. I'll be sporting it at our annual realmscon convention. There will be recruiters there, I wanna get their reaction .

Good stuff Eddie - can you take some pictures of the insides too?

I honestly don't think ACU is effective, but here's a picture of the ACU in a situation where it works perfectly.

No not the ACU on a couch pic.

Will do .

Haha there used to be a thread, that I STARTED. It was called "ACU at it's best". It was on militaryphotos. They showed some nice pictures.

The big thing about ACU is, this isn't Vietnam, we don't do Jungle OPS anymore. Even then Camouflage is only effective at a certain range it's not meant to make you invisible. Truth is, we are fighting an Urban battle (in Iraq) and around the buildings it works great. It happens t blend in Afghanistan VERY well also.

Look I keep telling you guys, ACU has nothing to do with camo, it has everything to do with reducing friendly fire incidents. I know you guys don't like to hear it but Americans are bad for friendly fire, especially national guard units.
So nice bright white/grey camo, plus IR tabs all over the place, big US IR flag, REALLY damn hard to mistake that for anything but an american lol
And it serves that purpose very well in airsoft as well!

Man we gotta get Huang these specs stat! They REALLY look comfy. Thanks for the pics Eddie!! The "underarmour" type material looks exactly like one of the undershirts I have.

LOL@ TC. Yeah you know the interesting thing about that - Israel actually took a very practical approach to reducing blue on blue incidents by painting a white bar around their rifle barrels back in the 80s. When you see a barrel sticking out the window without a white bar, call in the merkavas. But yeah I prefer the ACU to the air force ABU digital tigerstripe though.

http://www.ur-tactical.com/unlimitsh...roducts_id=128 this guy known making MC BDUs with real CP fabric, and his build quality is pretty good...

or ebanned http://ebaybanned.com/product_info.p...oducts_id=1418

from both of those i think ur-tactical stuff is more promising...

Ew man, I wouldn't buy the Ops stuff EVER.

Plus the under armor on those, look like they keep you heated instead of keeping you cool.

@ Pamparius - hey those are the designs from the original Crye combat shirt. The collars on the issued ACU combat shirts are completely different - more comfy. Material is also different. The issued ACU shirts are closer to a UnderArmour loosegear/heatgear mix while the original Crye design has a more heatgear like compression fit.

Yeah if you look at any of crye's combat shirts, they happen to be underarmor (the brand name) with MC sleeves on them. This is actually made of VERY different matierals mainly Rayon and Spandex.
