Well, you can't have the gas in the buffer tube with this design, since the buffer tube is... well, a buffer tube. It's a functional mechanism of the gun, not an empty space like on an AEG.
If it were a full size M16, there's potential to put the gas in the full stock and hand guard (there are classic designs that do this), but an M4 with any kind of adjustable stock or railed front end? Not so much space. I also like gas in mag in that if there's a problem, most of the time you can switch mags and be good to go, as well as having fresh (cooldown free) gas any time you reload. Of course, the greatest thing would be if there were mags that ran on 12g CO2, with the regulator built into the mag (adjustable even?) like the KWC Micro Uzi. That would mean cheaper mags (since it needs a MUCH smaller gas reservoir with the bulk of the pressure being taken up by the 12g cartridge itself) at the cost of more expensive refills and less cooldown compared to duster or propane (less CO2 required to achieve same performance because of higher pressure = less expansion = less cooldown, right?).

Big price difference also. You can't really compare a $600 platform to a $1500 platform.

Didn't see it mentioned yet, but since you asked...
Doesn't Tanio Koba make an AK-74SU blowback ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvkUomotUF0

And aZn, as far as I know, none of them are even close to the realism WA has internally. And yes, they're expensive as hell. And yes, I'd love to own one of each.

I just spoke with a friend in Japan, he says the Tanio Koba C8 Canadian rocks the WA M4 apparently but it's custom order only and is real pricey, was also told both guns are not really skirmish guns. Last edited by aZn_triXta07; June 12th, 2008 at 14:01.. |

As a proud owner of four of Inokatsu products I would definitely buy their M4 GBB, their M60 and AKM/S are by far the best one out there.
Now if only they make a M82 Barrett!!! |

I'll see how the feedback goes for the Inokatsu M4 GBB.
Otherwise I'm debating on grabbing myself an Escort M4A1 and than have the magwell modified to take Systema M4 Magazines. |

Why do you want to pay way more for mags?
