Ofcourse it is. All you need is an M16 stock, and KAC rear BUIS. Oh, and maybe a URX rail.. which apparently cost an arm and a leg.

All I'm doing, is putting a EOTech 550, DD Omega rail, and perhaps a VLTOR, or Stag-arms 15L upper. We'll see...

That list in itself would cost you as much or more than the PTW did. The VLTOR for sale on the PTW forums is $1200 U.S., and it's already been milled out for the PTW. New would be about $1500 or so.

:P I haven't put mine together yet. Still need to pick up another outer barrel, gas tube, charging handle and low profile front gas block.

It's a shame Titleist is selling that upper already - he hasn't had it together for very long. Nice build too.

That's not mine. That belongs to Titleist on the PTW forums.

And how much will your's have cost you when you're done, assuming you do a rail of some form?

Systema's individual components don't come cheap. :P A complete upper is roughly a third of a whole PTW.

Oh, I thought the MUR upper was your project. Then you must just be doing a replacement Systema upper complete?

My CQB-R has outpaced my M4 in invested dollars since I have a CASV clone on the M4 but a real ARMS SIR and BUIS on the CQB-R. That's $800 just for that stuff, assuming you can find it in Canada.

God how I'd love to do a CNC'd lower and then do real uppers, but the price would be horrendous, for really only cosmetic improvements.

I am trying to purchase it, but afraid of customs, have the money ready to go, but customs, Titleist already know of my situation, I will sleep on it....tomorrow morning I will go at Dave's Surplus and maybe I will just order it from them....if it is only 300$ more....

anyways here's a great site for you to look around...find something that you want and go to the gunshop or army surplus to order it....have fun

The MUR is the project, along with a LaRue 12.0 rail. When it came down to it, doing a complete upper out of only Systema parts was comparable to doing an MUR upper project in cost. For the little price difference I decided to go with some real steel parts.

From where you live Leblanc, you're probably best to travel into Washington and buy the parts and bring them back. Our Customs is not your worry, it's the Americans.

When I'm in Vegas in January, I will be bringing back some real parts. But it may be easier for me as I own a real registered AR, so there won't be any issue over gun parts going to non-gun owners.

Where the fuck are you guys getting these crazy front ends? I've talked to over 4 major RS shops, and they all say the same "we don't deal with so-and-so".

Honestly, if anyone here could get me a Troy 9" rail, I'll make it worth their while.

Kos, you have to go across the line. You'd be shocked at the shit you can buy in a state that allows automatic weapons and CCW. I was flabergasted when I was in Vegas last year, and it wasn't over the hookers either!!
