There's a story about screws for an M249 going AWOL.

Not everyone is firearm litterate, so some CBSA employees take stuff they shouldn't.

I think surebet has it right. I think it was just a mistake but regardless, they seized the parts. Now I'm working my way through paper work hell trying to prove that they aren't for use on an actual fire arm.

Maybe there was something else in the package that made the agent freak out, like a flyer or catalog from Redwolf with guns in it?
