I've used these and they're great. I'm not just saying that because I sell them.
I sell them because for the money, there is NO better deal than a jg or echo. I have a marui and you'll see me using my jg from now on.

JG G36C
Got mine yesterday, from having a little play around with the gun very nice, I was expecting a crap battery but I seem to be finding myself surprised by it, a 1100mah Ni-HM not a 600mah Ni-cd like the manual says.
On first use the battery made some fizzing noises when it was worked hard, but the battery seems to be in fine condition. It had some condensation on the plastic wrapping that hold the cells together, so I'm putting it down to the humid climate the battery was made in, and the heat of it working just cooking off that moisture. Sounds bad but it's nothing to worry about. If that’s the case a few more good work outs and it’ll be moisture free. The charger is a pain with its two pins (UK man) but a soldering iron and some solder means you rewire a 3 pin plug to it, and remove the 2 pins using one of the holes for the new plug wire :P seems to work fine. As for the gun, well, as everyone’s been saying; great gun, identical if not better than the TM, maybe not as reliable but don’t know only just got it so time will tell. It’s getting used this weekend so that'll be its first real test for me and looking forward to it from the feedback I've read here and other forums. Get one if you don’t have one, you won’t be sorry! Top gun and a lot more sexy than any M4, and it based on European gun which is always better in my books lol :P and cheep too boot! |

BuyAirsoft no longer sells JG guns.
Here's a bit of an endurance update. After seeing the JG G36C in action the entire summer season (err 15-20 games, maybe more), it looks like JG is the real deal. There have been absolutely no problems with the gun internally or externally and the gun fires as new. Nothing externally has fallen or broken off and my friend has not been easy on the gun. Thousands of rounds have been fired through the gun and it shoots as well now as it did when it was new (after the quirks were initially fixed). The stock 8.4V 1100mAh NiMH battery has had no problems either and no other battery has been used with the gun this year. Err I see that Echo-1 is stating that its guns come with CA gears like it's a feature, I'd like to mention again for the record that this JG G36C came with CA gears by default as well. Are the JG and Echo of the same quality?

They are both JG guns. Echo just imports JG guns cleans up the mech box a bit and swaps the spring and sells them under their name. Price wise the echo is a few bucks more tho.

Based on this thread I picked up a JG G36C from 007. I haven't had an airsoft gun for about 20 years so my expectations were a bit low but this thing is unreal. Solid feel for plastic. Ridiculously accurate, solid feeling. I'll see how it likes a damp winter but I'm glad I started with this instead of dropping a K on a metal one.

What. The. Fuck. Are you serious with that paint scheme? Lol.
And are you sure it's wise to give children powerful airsoft guns? |

C'mon, they're only Jing Gong. What's the worst they can do, punch through a panel of sheet metal? Wait, that's not good...
...yeah, how old are your "kids"? And doesn't the Halo 3 theme kinda eliminate the purpose of Airsoft? No offence, but if they want to play Halo, shouldn't they just play Halo? Anyway, the weird colours aside, you did a pretty good job with the actual painting. Nice and precise. |
