There was no mag pouches for the webbing, mags where carried inside the bottom pockets on the combat shirts. In each pouch there are 2 nylon pouches for the FN 20 round mag. If you had a C2 LMG you got the bra to wear that carried 4 mags. Can't remember if there was anything for the SMG

For the SMG you got the old 51 pattern Bren pouches. Used to have those in the Rad trucks. The 64 pattern webbing also had the pistol holster and the compass pouch. A lot of people would carry the American 1956 Universal ammo pouches. They were a perfect fit for the belt and fit two 20rd mags.

More than one magazine? Luxury, our Sergeant used to kill us stone dead if we asked for more than one.

Seriously though there would often be a game of twenty questions when you drew a SMG and tried to get more than one magazine.

I'll have six magazines please. Oh really, how will you carry them? How about I use my pockets. Nope, can't have that those are only for rifle magazines. Then we'd say something like how about I tape them together and put one set on the weapon and the other two in non-standard pouches.

Then when the supply clerk was shocked into silence at such a mutinous suggestion you'd grab as many as you could and run.

lol its fun to see some interest on the FN C1 ... My dad when he was in the recrut (bootcamp) he use to have this gun.. and no body like it... It was not BAD but actually they have extreme recoil !
