I have also owned Marpat and that worked really well with the change in seasons.

My suggestion is to take a look around your area and see which of your favorites will work best in blending you in to your surroundings. Chances are you will have a minimum of three uniforms after your first or second season.
Traditional US Army Woodland covers spring to fall quite well, and mixes with the three- and six-colour desert patterns for arid areas. It may not look as "cool" as some of the new "PAT" suffix designs, but it is very functional as a diverse and down to earth pattern.

1990 Flecktarn - good for field use, depending on your region, excellent where theres naturally ocurring orange (dead pine needles)
Standard US Woodland - too old, very easily distinguishable pattern
CADPAT - the black spots will betray you, ive never had a problem spotting cadpat on the field.
The new ACU - so far so good, ive had a veteran airsoft player walk a perfect 15 meter radius circle all the way around me and not spot me. Sucks brand new (like most camoflauge) but gets WAY better once its dirty. looks bad in pictures, but its designed to fool your eyes not your camera.
for ontario i'd say flecktarn or DPM, both are easily found and very cheap both in BDUs and webbing. desert camo only works in birch forests.

Id say US woodland or Fleck.
Reason being the stuff is in almost every surplus store and is cheap and most gear and add ons you buy come in those patterns. I lean more to the woodland but everyone has there preference.
So really pick what you like. Also if you have 3 yrs to save you can get some wicked gear and a full load out in that time. Also you'll be able to fully figure out what you wanna do with this game.
