Relax your hand out to your side, your hand should come to rest right on top your pistol grip.

The end result is a holstered pistol that sits not on your thigh, but not on your hip either. It sorta... hangs there... A lot of 6004 users have remarked that the high-ride DIY mod makes for a more comfortable holster. I personally like it too.

Gentlemen,
If you are having trouble with drop holster (or drop pouch movement) check the connection where the holster and the trouser belt meet. If the holster is sliding on the belt, it will move on the leg. Some times you can use zap straps (wire ties) snugged around the trouser belt as "movement limiters". Also, as the gent mentioned earlier in the thread, the higher its worn, the more stable, especially if you can get the top leg strap close to the crotch. Wide leg straps generally do not add to stability but do add, rashes, pimples black heads etc. Molded plastic rigs are usually scorned by pros in the field as they tend to snag on very thing and dig ditches, then scoop the dirt into the side arm when crawiling. They also knock and thump should you bang into something. If you do not intend to get dirty (such as psd or general leo patrol work) the molded plastic rigs work well. In the last 8 years we sold more than a thousand of our leg rigs world wide and the information I have imparted above comes from the users. Kindest Regards Brian Kroon President Drop Zone Tactical

I use one of these in my slimed down recon setup, it holds quite nicely. I simply unhook the keeper whenever I think I might have to use it, and the rest of the time I am absolutly sure it will stay.
My only complaint is that my muzzle sticks out a little bit and I had to fiddle a bit to get things perfect. |

For airsoft the "airborne" strap serves no purpose other then it takes longer to draw your pistol.

Hey Deeds, When you bought your holster did you have to have it fitted for your pistol or did it come pretty well adjustable for it? I've been using a TT Drop Leg for about 3 years now for every pistol I've owned and had no fitting problems until just recently. I just put the SAS Kit on My Hi Capa and now have a very tight fit at the bottom of the holster and was looking at picking up the same holster you bought. So it was just a curiosity on little things about it. |
