I'm amazed no one has put out a drum mag... although I would personally want it to be like a 500 round oversized midcap...

Meh. I hate rattling. I love the tommy with a drum mag... MadMax...?

But if you want to accurately use the drum mag you'd need the whole M1928A1 conversion ($!),unless of course you're Vondnik and can make your own...

altering the "real steel" mag to fit an aeg mag and thus rendering it unable to be used for real ammo is, in itself, perfectly legal. however the drum mag is illegal to purchase as it over the 5 round capacity and for a prohibited gun anyway. milarm in edmonton has the real gun and the real mag, but i don't think they'll sell it to you. i wouldn't try to import either. if you could find an old guy with a legal "grandfathered" tommy and he would mind parting with the mag, that's about the only way to go. you could import the real mag if it was "pinned" to five rounds, but that would have to be done prior to entry into canada. this is all theoretical legal crapolla, and you could get anything you want, legal or not. it's just a matter of what you're willing to risk to get it. i thought that someone made a 1928 tommy for airsoft and perhaps they have a mag capable of modding for a tm.

there's nothing in the "act" that says that you can't do it yourself. as long as the mag capacity cannot be increased without the use of tools (ie. a rivet that requires a drill, etc.) that's all that is required by law. some guys have gone crazy and filled 30rd. m4 mags with epoxy and crap, but a rivet is the way to go. returnable to stock if necessary and still legal. it would be interesting if milarm would actually sell you one. but your not 18 yet are you? they might be sticky on that point, even though there's nothing in the "act" that says you can't buy a legal mag, at least i haven't seen it anyways.
