Oh, Well not CHROME, but the silver versions. I'll probably keep the stock slide for a bit...and see how that goes if I get one eventually. Would the stock slide keep it's silver color for a long time?
This is is exact gun I want in the future: http://www.airsoftpost.com/images/la...APA51_S_lg.jpg I was talking with juciy for a long time about GBB's but I forget, what would the maximum effective range be of the 5.1 stock? I know it's more than the 4.3's purely because of the barrel length, but I don't know it's range off the top of my head. |

My TM Hicapa goes nearly as far (3/4 or more) as my TM AUG shooting 380fps.

Just like any other airsoft gun, effective range is subjective, and dependent on BB brand/weight as well as environmental conditions. |

True, so what about perfect shooting conditions, no wind, and .25's BB bastards? I'm assuming/hoping it'd shoot to about 100 ft, but again, not sure

Hey, I have another question lol. Where is the most common place that you guys buy upgrades from? Internal and Externals. I know Illusion works a lot with pistols and it's upgrades, but anywhere else as well?

Being able to actually line up pistol open sights so that you can actually hit the target may be another story, but it should be possible. |

Alrighty. I was also playing with the thought of getting a Doctor sight fro quicker aiming. I could think of two options, a rail mounted optic, or a slide mounted one. If I chose the slide mounted one, there would be less obstruction on the sides therefore you could use a serpa or similar style holster. It would also use more gas though, and add considerable weight to the slide, and probably slow cycling, correct?

"Considerable" weight may be subjective, as the Doctersights generally aren't too heavy. I ran a slide mounted setup for a while, and didn't notice a real difference in performance. Generally, similar micro red dot sights are made with light weight aluminum housings and plastic lenses, so there isn't a great deal of weight there. Even my real steel Doctersight has a glass lens, and I didn't notice much of a cycling slowdown. Besides, there are ways to speed cycling back up.
Whether you can holster the weapon with said sight, you will need to consider a holster that has a cutout to allow the Doctersight to fit, as most holsters will also cover up the rear sight. As for rail mounting... it's possible, but you're pretty much only limited to using race holsters or very generic universal large holsters to house such a setup. Frame mounted bases are not ideal for a combat pistol. |

hi
Sorry to interrupt in this conversation, but, I'm looking for a metal slide and a barrel for my P226, is that prohibited by Canadian law?? |

Read post #7 of this thread. Then read the faqs about importing airsoft.
EDIT: Sorry for being a dick. I'm tired.
