I can see how, in my ATC unit thats what they issued (head mounts) for establishing on the fly airfields and they where a bitch to adjusts and overall, i ended up not using them at all or if i did, i did so without the mount. |

Ok, so i couldn't resist making a small purchase and ended up buying a NVMT 4 (yukon). For under 200$ it is a good buy to see if NVG is something i am willing to invest in (end convince the wife to make a 2k plus purchase).
So far, for what it is and the money i put into it, its great. But it came with this really shitty helmet and mount. I have a obscure base jump helmet and i am trying to figure out what i can do to mount in in a stable and adjustable manor. Does anyone have a clue if i can purchase a Rino mount and J-arm to mount the Yukon unit on to my ops core Helmet? |

Zacks old NOD on my bucket.
Rocking Gen 1 until I can grab a deal on Gen 2 or 3's. **GPNVG Pack is acting as a counterweight/look-cool-factor

Guess what? you are stuck with this The mounting system from yukon is proprietary. random sights like ebairsoft or rsov may have a clone mount you can dremel the shit out of and make fit. |

Jonas had modified a J-arm to be used with the yukon NVMT, but it has no lateral stability in the J-arm, so unless you lock it down good it swivels

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone runs a ATN NVM14-CGTI gen2 Mono and of so how do you like it?
I was thinking of possibly purchasing this unit but haven't found any helpful reviews yet.

From what i've read on the american forums, ATN is a company to avoid.

What's the cheapest way to go with a NVG setup and get acceptable results ?

From what people have told me, no lower than Gen 2 to get something you can really game with and that is versatile enough for most nighttime scenarios.

You can get away with using gen1 yukon stuff, it's decent enough for rifle mounting
It's not great for darker than moonlit conditions, but the clarity of the tube makes it on just under par with the low end gen2 tubes that have so much noise you can't make anything out. |

And what kind of budget should I plan to go NVG
