Pops open really easy? Mine does. Needs to be tapped down for gaming.

Mounting hardware is almost the same as the M249s. 249 box mags fit, albeit a bit wobbly. I bet I can make this thing run off the million box mags I already have kicking around.

Yeah it opens way too easy. I'm under strict "no more f@#$ing bbs on the floor" rules atm lol. I tipped the gun ever so slightly, the door popped open, and a good 100 or so rolled everywhere..
A fine Welcome to the world of LMG's i guess lol

My KAC LMG came in this afternoon. Seems nice and solid, looking forward to fielding it.

Question though, I noticed when I removed the outer barrel that the inner barrel and hop unit rotates pretty easily, it seems like the hole where the bb passes from the box mag feed tube into the hop up chamber could pretty easily become misaligned. Is the hop unit and inner barrel supposed to be so loose? Or is it supposed to be held in proper alignment? As it stands I'd have to use two hands to adjust the hop up - one to twist the hop up and another to make sure the whole assembly doesn't rotate. I'm not sure if all CA 249 style hop units are like this?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, my first LMG and did not come with a manual.

There's a small ridge on the bottom of the hop up unit. There is a piece of the receiver that holds it in place, though when the outer barrel is absent it's easy to knock it out of that groove. It won't come out of place when in use.
