Pff...I had to read everything I could get my eyes on and then scratch my head a bunch to understand it (and I probably still have some things not-quite right).
Freedom Art (UNcompany, Dentrinity, Redwolf, etc) make more than a few frame mounted comp setups. You being in Norway...haven't a clue where it's better for you to order from. Check the Race Gun thread on here and Arnies...there's some outrageous setups as well. My latest race gun cost $900...and that was just for the top end...haven't done up the bottom end yet, my wallet is still reeling from the shock. |

Ok, been looking around quite a bit now and what seems to make the most sense is a freedom arts kit. Anyone got any experience with these? I'm guessing its ok to link here so i'll show what i was considering: Longer barrel, but out of stock or this hardly seems to be an extension at all, but more shinies
Are these good sets? none of the sites mention what kind of barrels come with, if they are threaded etc.. |

Oh, the rifling of the barrel. No, only Tanio Koba makes those, so if you were to get the freedom art frame, you would also have to buy the Tanio Koba twist barrel seperately.

That being said, they were great barrels, I had one in a 4.3 in 2009. Very little to no left or right BB travel, and put a .30g like a laser out to 75ft, could easily reach 150 by compensating. |

if you don't want to spend all the extra dough on a comp set up, I installed a TK Hop twist inner barrel (5.1 length) in my 4.3 extreme and just covered the end of the barrel with a pro-arms silencer adapter (http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/pro-arms-...-14mm-ccw.html)
Inner barrel + Silencer adapter + good hop rubber, should be less than that $100 mark you're trying to achieve. edit: lol just saw the date on the OP... i am fail. |
