I had one before, it is just a different stock on a L96 receiver/trigger group.

It also is a cheap copy of the LayLax "shotgun" stock, except you can't install the shotgun components on it, and the LayLax one was for the APS-2

There is two weights in this stock, one in the receiver and one in the pistol grip.

I found that you want to remove the one in the receiver and keep the one in the pistol grip. Adds a lot of stability to the rifle, and helps balance it if you have the adjustable buttstock. Also, completely dissassemble the buttstock and treadlock all the screws. They came almost undone from the factory.
You are right, the Laylax shotgun stock was made for the APS series, and allows you to have two options. One, attach the shotgun mechanism, which allows you too effectively "cock" your rifle like a shotgun, or use the bolt normally. Also, its one of the best looking stocks out there

Is your rifle an ASPS-2?

If not, it won't.
But if you find that stock somewhere under 400$, let me know. It's been discontinued for over 5 years now...
