Those rifles are sexy!
I can't wait to see how good they perform in the long run and in low temperature.

woot is this the master thread for all SCARs? Can't believe I didn't see it before starting my own.
Here's mine so far... have gone through about 10~15 mags so far... all components still look brand new. I'm getting about 2 ~ 2.5 mags worth of shooting per gas fill - not too bad at all! Last edited by Bonjour43ma; October 12th, 2009 at 17:35.. |

I had a similar experience with mag fills. About 2-1 fro fills. Also, I made a small "sorbo-pad" for the recoil plate which seems to dampen the shock on the hinge plate. Hopefully this will help lessen the chance of a broken hinge plate.
I will keep you posted.....

^^^ can you take a picture of said pad, please? Just curious to see what it looks like.
The problem with the broken/cracked hinge plate seems to happen mostly to people that run CO2 mags. Green Gas/propane people don't seem to have that issue... |

Can't fix my own guns. Willing to fix yours.

I made a pad out of cut up rubber bands, I used the wide ones in two layers and two rows, works like a charm

I can't believe I missed this.
I saw your post in the GGI forums, and I'm jealous. LOL Great work man - I'll have to try and get some off you one day! Btw - what did you use to sand/file out the inside of the PMAG? Just a regular old file? Last edited by 808; October 21st, 2009 at 02:57.. |

A PMag master does not tell any of his secrets...
I'll be at XT starting in November when Terror Tuesdays begin...I will show you in person if you're around.

That's so sweet.
My mailbox still has lots of rooms for PMs if you're ever bored and want to jot down some how-to notes... |

WE internals won't fit into the PTS PMAGs?
|

I have never seen one up close for a comparison...but from the pics I've seen of a PTS PMag it looks like it would not work because of the height at which the mag catch would engage, it's too close to the top of the mag!

formerly Omega!

Now how do the converted PMAGs perform in terms of consumption and cool down of the gas? Is there any real difference in FPS or how many shots before needing a refill?

It is purely cosmetic...then again I haven't done any real testing with them! I doubt there would be any gain/loss with them compared to the old WE mag shell.
