part one: airsoft stores are FEW and FAR BETWEEN.
Very tricky to find anymore. If you want to buy a gun it will be online.

part two: good news though! since airsoft is a tightly knit community, you can talk to atleast 20 people who've order from the same place (like buyairsoft or mach1 or whichever) so its not hard to find a trusted retailer. Get age verified and you will see ASC retailers who are COMPLETELY trusted and you can even read feedback left from previous users who purchased from there.

Basically, if you are not going to order anything online then go with basketball, hockey, or snowboarding

Get age verified and you can meet members in person to buy from them or maybe Huang since he has a physical store in Toronto for some gear.

There used to be a physical airsoft store in Calgary but they ripped off people and went bankrupt from shady practices.

You are not going to really find a physical airsoft store. If you don't like doing business online, you are better off trying a different sport. Airsoft is almost purely an internet business.

you may find the ocasional RARE find in an army suplus store that sells paintball gear like i have . one of the best days ever the day when i started to buy gear!

One thing I can reccomend since you are also a fellow resident of Mississauga, go talk to Jeroon down in Port Credit at Army Issue. Head down Hwy. 10 to Lakeshore, then go west on Lakeshore 2 lights until you hit Stavebank and should be on the corner there he can Age Verify you, as well as answer alot of questions you have, and empty out your wallet (he has a tendancy to do that alot )

We all buy online, why don't you trust it? It's ok nothing is gonna happen other than maybe long shipping sometimes and it being broken which you can return
