I love my TM 1911 to death. So much that I even gave it to illusion to pimp out. I cant wait till I get it back, it will be a real workhorse.

I can't wait till I get the shipment back from customs so that I can pimp it out, drool over it and play a couple of games with it before sending it back to you.

No metal kit... just metal slide, minor exterior treatment and internal modifications.

No offence to the 1911 and "hi-cappa" fans here, but if you want something reliable that lends itself well to actual gameplay/combat, get a Glock.

Since the only full metal option out of the box seems to be WE or KJW and there have been alot of complaints about the WE, does anyone have anything to say about the KJW?

KJW tend to be much higher quality than WE. However, their mags in general seem quite high-maintenance. I have the KJW M9. The gun itself is fantastic. Shoots hard and straight. It's easily seen 5000 rounds and still shoots are well as the day I got it. Other than a worn mag catch, I haven't has an issue with it. However, the mags are constantly springing leaks, not from the valves, but from their main seal. This tends to be a chronic problem with most KJW guns. Not sure about their 1911 in particular though, but no reason to think it would be otherwise, as the mags are an issue with all their other guns.

Not just WE and KJW, CA and KSC/KWA also make full metal 1911s.

I have the KJW M9 as well. And I agree with everything you've said about that one. Any idea where to get a replacement mag catch? I've read somewhere that the Guarder steel mag catch for the TM will fit the KJW. Unfortunately I can't find anyone locally selling them and $35 shipping from Asia for a $9 part is alittle ridiculous. I'd do it anyway if I had confirmation it fit, but not on a chance.
Back on topic: CA does full metal m1911's? I have a CA M15A4 and I love it to pieces. How's their 1911? Anyone own one? Kuro_Neko |
