I was thinking along the same lines as well. Its very possible that it could be a BB residue, and not just cheap BB residue.

Using a metal brush to clean an inner barrel probably isn't the best idea...

CDN tire BB's arent Cheap they are like 20-23 dollars for 2000 BB's

BB Bastards are like 10 bucks for ~1700.

I wasnt aware that those BB's can leave residue.

What BB's did you use and how dusty were they?

I think they mean Cheap as in poor quality, not cheap in terms of price....

I've noticed an odd deposit on early CA tightbore barrels. It appears that a bad surface treatment was melting the pellets which left a white ABS streak on the barrel. I tried different pellets which had similar crappy results. Unfortunately the only cure is to launch the barrel into the core of the Sun and install a new one.

Yeah, don't CA barrels have really bad QC?

my friend had stuff in his CA barrel, I got it out with a crap load of lube and about an hour of running a barrel cleaner with a smooth cloth through it. for his gun though it looked more like the crusty spots in your kitchen after you make/slash a little bit of spaghetti sauce on the counter.
