The gun is coming from shootsoft.ca. I haven't dealt with them before but the guy that runs it seems nice so hopefully all will go well.
They are the only place in Canada that I found who were stocking full-metal 1911s of ANY kind.... |

I would say you are basing that hearsay beaver... I paid through paypal so if anything goes wrong I can always get my money back.
Plus shootsoft.ca is based out of quebec, if he has an import license then everything should be fine. I'm going to wait and see and pass my judgement on that dealer after this transaction is complete. |

Nooo I wouldn't order from the US. I'm so looking forward to getting this gun! There were a few occasions last night when it would have been fun to have it. I will start 2 new threads once I get the gun: The first to detail my experience dealing with shootsoft.ca as most people seem a bit skeptical about this new retailer. And the second: an in-depth review, photographs and take-down of the gun itself. |

I may be a n00b but my research skills are second to none :-p
Plus I'm too impatient to wait for something to be shipped from the states... |

I bloody love that scene out of collateral that is in your sig btw.
Even if they edited the footage a lot it is still pretty amazing someone could move that fast! |

Is the "WE M1911 Tactical Full Metal" called the "WE m1911 full metal military version" on that site?

$1100 is a pretty good price!
I discovered the other day I can get a real steel Norninoco 1911 for like $390.. ridiculous! The real-steel is almost cheaper than the airsoft version... I think my first real-steel pistol will be a P99... I really like the way that gun sits in my hands. |
