Maybe. But I'm not allowed to tell you... Not over the internet atleast. Insurgents might get ideas. OR! maybe... .40g bbs! :O!
No, I was thinking more along the lines of a Drop-in piston kit. But, now that I think of it, it seems pretty obsurd... But by the time I reenlist, who knows what we'll be using... |

My old battalion would allow quite a bit... Brit sniper smocks were aquired for those who required them, but then VP was always ahead of the game.
"Any Idiot can be uncomfortable" was our motto...

Thank you all for some nice informations about the canadian forces. As i can see it's not that different as in the German Forces (Bundeswehr). As i was on tour in Kosovo in '99, i also had a lot of shit with me which wasn't issued. Only no-go where modifications on our weaponry.

The whole Regiment atleast from what I've seen is like that. PPCLI is pretty good on letting troops using good kit to get the job done. Aslong as you're not trying to look like a Navy SEAL or JTF2 guy it's all good. I've picked up quite a few different pieces of kit for tour an it's been all good.
