Word is* airsoft CASV fit real steel, so it should fit PTWs just fine. As long you have a realistic style/size barrel nut, you're fine.

(* yes, I know for a fact)

I tried to get most of what you listed various manufactures but, supply has really gotten dry in Canada. I know wolverine is working out a new contract with Daniel Defense but, we wont see any products up here until spring of 08. Only other alternative is to have a US relative order and send it across even that can end up not good.

I have an ARMS #46C SIR and #40 on the CQB-R. A vertical grip and a quick-aim sight is all you really need. Laser are beyond useless (and banned at many fields), lights are fine if you do CQB in darkened areas, but otherwise completely useless.

Remember, that a stock PTW with a modest rail, sight and battery will weigh about 11 pounds, give or take. You may want to really think about keeping just the bare minimum on the gun, or learn to deal with the weight.

Yes did you get Max or Max2, if you have not ordered yet I would suggest Max2 version because you get the M90 cylinder which takes care of the CQB part. The M150 cylinder is nice to have and see what I can blink through but, I wish I had gotten Max2. Than get blue M110 and some spare mags at least 5(The weight of 5 alone is enough).

dude, might I remind you that we cannot import anything that the military/law inforcement issued, we need a import license for that stuff....I know, as I got a warning trying to get an Eotech from the US, next time I will get fined and also the seller will be fined, and then who knows what....luckily the seller was not a retailer and customs gave us booth warnings, might off been different if the seller was a retailer as they are suppose to know the law...

Eotech are so cheap in the US....the 552 is around 300$ and here is around 500$ and that is the new 2007 version.

Yes I know the export and import laws on Weapon essentials right now, the relative comment was merely a random thought. One though I would not go through with because of what could happen.

so true, my first game with my PTW had me dragging my ass a bit. I couldn't believe how much a few pounds feels when you have to swing it around. I really had to rethink my strategy at times.

I had a systema m16-a2 (but with flat-top reciever)
I'm getting an M4-length barrel for it and installing a knights armament rail system.
I'll add some sort of scope on either the carry handle or get a raiser and mount it right on the reciever.

I don't find the PTW to be too much heavier than my classic army m15.... i dunno. I've been running around with an m249 recently so I don't really notice the weight.

Only thing I changed on my PTW is the carry handle, to a cut-down one. It's so beautiful as it is...
