I'm surprised he came up with the 35 for the springers. Probably saved up a years allowance. Man...allowance...I miss being a kid..

I liked the systema a lot, too bad I won't have the money to get it for a very long time. Guess I'll be sticking with my TM m4 for a few years or so longer lol. Start putting away my paper route money.

Just an idea about this kind of thing.

When a new member just subscribe, a bot send faqs or a read me in it's private message. But only 1/4 will read them anyway.

I think Faqs are great and really well done but hey. just stop replying and just ignore them. They don't search, they don't read, they aren't verified and they buy clearsoft....

What ? I reply, yes !

What ? A Copy/Paste, yes !

+1 for that. but I think that all new members should be banned from all boards on this forum EXCEPT for the FAQS page for one week.

Personally, I'd like to see anyone who joins be age verified. Make the website 18+ only. That'd weed out the stupid kids who want to play when they're 11 and ask the dumb questions (mind you, there have even been a few stupid people who are over 18 as well)

It would also weed out a lot of people who want to play, are over 18, mature, but can't get to an age verifier. This is a hobby, not a privledged yatch club.

This is true too. I didn't say my system was perfect. I would just like to see it happen. Maybe there's a better way to age verify out there too, who knows. :???:

You know, while it was rather unreasonable for the original poster to expect a $100 AK, expecting newcomers to shell $2500 for an airgun is a little off too, IMHO (I knew someone from South Africa and there you can get a REAL AK-47 for about $25, probably Chinese or North Korean, though). Once you get into it and you know exactly what you want, yes, but if you just want to test the water you'd want something cheaper.

Unfortunately, where I live (Vancouver) the choice in terms of retailers is basically $30 Walmart crap or premium $300+ pistols and rifles at Dave's. Cheap stuff cat turn you off airsoft sinse it is pretty frustrating when they jam all the time and have no accuracy to speak of. It'd be good if there were a nice $100 handgun that is of reasonable quality so that people can try it out and see if airsoft is really their thing. There are some like that, but you can only get them from online or people that you know, not in a store.

I have a suggestion; how about they go to a game and rent/borrow the good guns? Then for very little money they can find out if airsoft is for them.

Yeah, renting sounds good.
Still, it's strange that you can get airsoft handguns or reasonable quality (like a plastic TM Beretta) for around $100 or less, yet many stores in Canada sell similar and inferior items for 2 - 3 times the price. Just peevs me a little.

How much does a game typically cost, anyway? (sorry if it's been answered before, but I couldn't find it in the FAQ and other threads, it's mostly about buying/choong an airgun)

but Dave's have better pricing than 007 or A&A, just have to deal with the right person

.....also, I would like to go to a game and play; however, my time is very limited this year, with a just turning 1 year old daughter and a wife is hard to me to get out of this house, next summer probably it will be possible, but right now it is out of the questions

....and in regards of age wise, I am probably old enought to be some kids father here in this forum....

....In regards on getting aged verified, I got my end of the bargain done within the first week I have joined the forum by whozat... whozat have sent my confirmation that evening....now more than a month now has past and the closest I came to be in contact with an admin was a signature fraction.... still waiting to be verified....... and waiting; however, I still manage to purchase a G&G, Systema, Springfield, go figure

.....thank you guys for your help....but the verify thing should be instantanious for the admin, seriously, how long does it take to code my user name that I am verified....because I want to purchase more guns...I am starting a collection here....

getting a bit off topic here, I've tried the systema MAX II, at 400fps it shoots just as far, just as consistently and just as accurately as my HK11. There's a point where the only thing you can do to get better performance is use heavier ammo.

The costs are reflective of fees, importation taxes and other tariffs that are required to be paid to bring airsoft into Canada. Thats why we pay more here, not because someone is marking up to make a quick buck.

Game costs vary, if the host required to spend some of his/her own money to get things going via supplys or other items, its all reflective.
