From what H-G has told me, many are defective, mine is defective, but my team mates is not. Apparently sometimes sets for entire military units are not working properly, so I would say if they have not improved the design or production, be weary of purchasing. Also, I have also heard about how warranties for lights like these do not apply if you are in Canada, as they are restricted items due to their night vision aspects, hence without the proper papers the item might just never return to you if you send it in for repairs from Canada. Just what I have heard, nothing confirmed, so take with a grain of salt. As for IBH and Bowman headset, I can not say for sure, but afaik the SEAL used headset is the Swimmer not the Bowman PRR. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. Swimmer headset. Last edited by Yuxi; September 1st, 2007 at 21:49.. |

Dam, those lights are really pimp. I might pick one up if I can get it for good price on ebay. Too bad for the problems with it.
Swimmer head set + IBH = realistic? Huang says that the china clone might be realised soon. Ive seen some pics of what looks like that kind of headset, but Im not sure. |

As for the issue of the swimmer headset, I will try to get someone who is more knowledgeble on this issue than me to comment on SEAL headsets. Last edited by Yuxi; September 1st, 2007 at 21:53.. |

The TASC-1 OSK, aka 'swimmer headset' would be realistic for a modern NSW impression.

A quick question, does any of you knows where I could find some nice replacement padding for the IBH. Something firm if possible.I got a SWAT branded one for a year now and the pads are finished. Anyway I always found those (swat pads) to be too soft, letting my head going to deep in the helmet.

I am wondering if anyone has upgraded the Chin Strap and Suspension System for their IBH. If so, which is the best kit to get?
Also has anyone had any difficulty in upgrading the padding as well?
