Admittantly it was a mistake but when I was doing it the ejector port cover seemed very untouched and "new" looking, so I wore it down a bit. I'll eventually grab a replacement once I've got some money lying around. Thanks for the kind words though, she's a privilege to carry into "battle."

instead next time just rub dirt or clay on the ejector cover that may give the look you could be looking for.

I've got some better pictures that present the gun a little better than the old ones. Plus I took a picture with the Eotech mounted on the RIS and with a carry handle on.
These pictures better show just how matte the reciever is. Oh and if you look at the above photo you can see the spring I installed under the bolt-catch, it doesn't make any noise anymore and can be depressed just like the real steel version.

Just found a flashlight I'm hoping to add to my arsenal, http://www.tactical-flashlights-stor...ttlesnake.html
$87, 200 Lumens, and a 3 inch reflector!! This thing should be able to throw a couple hundred feet easy.

I'm looking for some inspiration and I'd like to see what you guys have done to your M4 (A1, CQB/r, or any other). Just to get some ideas where I want to go with mine. =]
EDIT: Sorry for the triple post there....
