That gun you posted the "firepower m8" is actually a Aug.
Firepower guns for lack of a better word are "horrible" but that still gives them to much credit. If you want something to hang on the wall they are perfectly fine for that. Also an M8 would have been an XM8 which was a gun made by H&K and was slated to be the replacement for the M4 series weapons in the US. The project was put on hold to allow for other competitors and it appears that the FN SCAR will be used instead. If you can find a Jing Gong or a low priced TM G36 as the XM8 was based off of the G36 series. Also the best bet for a gun at a decent price would be one that is armalite (m series m4, m16, m15, m733, etc.) As they overpopulate the market. Also more parts and replacements parts are avalible for that series. But the gearbox is version 2 which also has the most problems, whereas the XM8, G36 have a much more reliable V3. Well best of luck and have fun. |

OK well, here it is in the plain truth: My opinion of Airsoft after looking into it for a weekend:
Airsoft is: 1: Not for guys my age (15) It seems the "accepted" age is 18+, so that counts me out. 2:Borderline Illegal in Canada If stores can get closed down for selling airsoft stuff, guns held at the border, and other like incidents, then Airsoft just seems to much of a grey area to me. 3:UBER expensive part of the reason i wanted to try airsoft was the ridiculously low priced guns i saw on the net, and the incredible price of ammo (2000 balls at the PB field over here is 140$!) I was hoping to pay 100-150$, not 500+ 4:Nobody to play it with theres really no parks or other players (besides the guys i know who might not even end up buying anything) *Flame guard starts here* 5:Paintball is better Paintball FTW!!! *Flame guard ends here* |

Maybe to you. However, the concept of running around (usually absolutely un-tactically) , shooting wildly, and cheating doesn't appeal to alot of people on these forums. |

I'm not flaming, I'm just stating the truth + my opinion.
I played paintball for over 2 years before I got into airsoft... The people that would show up were generally rich 14 year olds, with angel flies, and bob long intimidators. They had absolutely no clue how to operate with a team, not to mention operate their guns. Meh, if that appeals to you... have fun with it. |

The thing is: 2 leads to 3, which leads to 4. 1 is just a known fact. 5 is only true because Airsoft is generally expensive to get into (not saying paintball isn't ) and moreso because Airsoft is much harder to aquire. |

5 is also because the general crowed that plays airsoft is older and more mature.
