That seems odd... Why wouldn't they let you use at least realcap? Couldn't they have let you set that up as 200 rounds in a box mag with however many you need for a winding buffer (10-20?). At least your added firepower IS balanced by the bulk of the weapon, not like a MP5K with a beta-C or anything.
I myself use an AUG HBAR. While it is fun every once and a while to let down the bipod and just unload, it certainly doesn't have the same effect as an actual SAW, nor did I expect it to. I feel that LSWs are a suitable low cost alternative for those who either cannot or don't want to spend the money on a role that they may or may not want to take up full time (without buying a second gun). I wouldn't use my LSW in a real milsim unless there actually weren't enough SAWs to go around.
Bullpup, your case may be a little more difficult than mine since I don't think the L86 is easily reconfigurable into any other L85 variant. Honestly, I would expect an L86 in more of a DMR role as has been previously stated. You CAN get a single or double drum mag, but comfort may be an issue (I've gotten pretty used to my drum on my HBAR).
Plus, bullpup guns are so tidy and comfy in the shorter para configs... And nothing gets your heart rate up better than slamming a new mag in under fire.
