The opportunity arose, and since I'm selling/sold my CADPAT, the cash flow wasn't a problem.

No paint...thats a given, but I'm going to try and track down some DPM cloth tape instead.
Otherwise there's a low-mount and Aimpoint on their way, and 5 mags. Anyone know if the classic Magpuls would look the part on these mags?

awesome gun, one of my favorites!
i was going to get an HK33 setup with retractable stock and HK79, but my team went all M16 on me lol that and nobody makes HK79s yet. you think thats heavy? my G3 is about 5800g, heavier than a star M249 and because of my HK11 kit its all front weight so it really wears down your left arm lol AWESOME gun, dont paint it |

I used to have one of those KSC HK33K babies too. And like you, loved it from first sight. It's the best built AEG I've ever handled (except for the new metal and wood CA AK's) and the combo-gearbox thing is very cool.
Unfortunately, I found it a bit under-powered for skirmish use, no after-market or other brand parts fit it and the magazines didn't always feed reliably. So eventually I sold it - at a loss. Classic Army have at last got their act together and have done an HK53 AEG with sliding stock as well - it's not out yet, but it has been shown at SHOT and IWA - so hopefully they'll round out the portfolio and do an HK33K as well. And hopefully it will be of better build quality than the CA33E... I just love the whole HK33 series...
