**VERY NEW** To airsoft, help with lube

Read my edit. Its not worth it, buy tm or something, they're not much more money then the tippmann and will be 100x better. Tippmann is not an airsoft company, so they dont have any experience in building airsoft guns, so no, it probably wont be very good.

It isn't. Seriously. I know Tippmann makes good PB stuff, but their airsoft stuff is horrible. We're not being smartasses here, you are going to waste your money. Trust us on this, we've been into this for a while and have learned what works and what doesn't.

Kind of already got my mind made up. It is for plinking around the yard, that is it. Spent 12 years in the military crawling in the bush, not much in the mood to do that anymore.

I just bought the adaptor and am not happy to hear that what I wanted is junk.

Fine. Enjoy your 10 minutes of plinking while the gun works at 100 fps.

As for lube, 10 weight silicon from a RC hobby shop. It's used for shocks, they might call it shock oil.

Btw, after you fill your gun with propane, put on a paintball mask. That way when the slide flies back at your face, you won't put out your eye with it.

Shooting a gun one time doesnt mean its good. It might work once, but in the long term it'll probably become a paper weight. I wasted 180 bucks on a gbb once that shot fine for over a month, but then broke and can't ever be repaired, so now i have $180 paper weight.

AND DO NOT PLAY WITH IT OUTSIDE IN YOUR YARD! Im getting tired of people thinking its fine to take a highly realistic airsoft gun out in their backyard....

And as for the propane comment, does the Airsoft Innovation Adaptor not work well???

No reviews talked about guns blowing up in peoples faces. GreenGas is basically odorless propane.

The AI Propane Adaptor is excellent, no worries. The comment mean't, the gun will break, so make sure you're wearing safety equipment when it does.

The adaptor works fine. Your Tippmann however will likely break while using propane. As for places to buy airsoft, look up at the linkbar.

Do not play with it in your backyard. You're not the first person to say 'i have a big backyard'. Someone can still see you. Not only do you put yourself at risk, you put our entire community and our loved sport in huge risk. Thats why we get "bent up". Our community has been working very hard for years to safe gaurd the future of our sport. Spray based lubricants may contain petroleum distillates, and those are to be avoided.

You can get lithium grease at Canadian Tire, graphite grease is a bit harder to find but excellent for slides and moving parts, silicone oil = any of the better hobby shops in Ottawa. All 3 are safe for any airsoft gun. Silicone oil is necessary for gas guns.

kjw makes a nice p226 thats full metal. as for the reasons why the one you were looking at is junk, its because it is unlike their paintball gear poorly constructed and made out of shoddy materials. my cousin bought one and played with it for a bit in his basement it promptly broke on him after only a few uses and is now an expensive paper weight.

you have to talk to most of the retailers in canada for a full metal pistol. alot of us with full metal pistols bought them as a plastic pistol at first and then did the upgrade to full metal later. the problem with that aside from being difficult and time consuming to do is that doing an upgrade like that can push the end cost of the pistol well north of $500 depending on the gun and whats done to it.

the vast majority of airsoft pistols are made mainly if not exclusively of plastic. kjw makes full metal ones though, they are not bad but no matter what you are going to be spending more than just $180 for a decent full metal pistol. plastic isnt as bad as it is made out to be, in many cases is can be very durable and just fine. airsofters tend to be a bit obsessive about looks and feel and complain about things made of plastic. for someone who is new i would suggest a gun made by Tokyo marui or one made by KSC. they are fairly common and parts can be found for them if something is to break. yes they will be plastic but they are quite durable and are not much more than what you were thinking of spending anyway. they will serve you well, and should you really hate the feel of it after a while you can always do the upgrade to full metal. i know i did the upgrade to my TM P226 and it was a real learning experience.
