I've got a samurai elcan and I love it. the only bad thing is the price being over $200 USD but the build is solid and it adds a good amount of weight to your gun. I am thinking of putting another on an m249 but that won't be for some time

You might as well put the M145 mgun Elcan on as opposed to the C79 if you're putting it on a 249.
