Yea, I tried turning breaking off and that's what cause the break wire to start smoking and get very hot..

If you are drawing 70A, it means either your motor is fucked, your shimming is fucked, or both.

The braking wire is there for the purpose of motor braking. It is there to connect the poles of the motor to a circuit independent of the battery.

I had to switch back to my old wiring setup for now and checked the shimming, it stand perfectly fine with no up and down movement. The motor seems to be fine, but pinion gear is somewhat loose. Still works fine. I can attach a photo of the wire afterwards and any pics needed as it is in it's original box waiting on a warranty claim.

Run the motor by itself and see what the amp draw is under no load. SHS HT should be around 3A. If it is under 5A or so, the motor is fine and your shimming is off.

I would do this, but I do not want to risk using the get again since the brake wire's insulation is melted lol

I think that's all the gun info I can give, let me know if anything else is needed. Thanks in advance!
Get rid of it and buy a Gate Titan.
Been using one in my m4 for a few months and it's been flawless also put it up against a few spectre's and it out performed them aswell.

bypass the fet entirely, hook the motor directly up to the battery using 2 short lengths of wire, make sure you anchor the motor down or hold on tight.

Also, what gearbox shell are you using? Did you check if the piston moves freely when the gearbox is screwed together?

I'm curious; how exactly does a mosfet "outperform" another mosfet?
Were you watching the amp loading with an oscilloscope? Or are you just comparing ROF and trigger response which actually has nothing to do with the mosfet's actual performance?

Well, damn, that sounds like a good enough reason to drop my Spectres for a Titan!
