My Ztac headset (the EVO III) worked pretty well for a couple months, but then the wiring shit the bed near the ear-piece (must've been a kink or something... I still dont know. I am able to transmit but not receive). I'd recommend something else like an earbud/hand-mic setup instead.

If your looking for high end coms that is the website to go to lol 2k buys you military grade everything with dual channel separation talk with everything being wireless even the PTT lol.
Yah, its weird that the curly tube is on the PTT.... probably a manufacturing error and why its not so expensive... regardless it works great.

I also run my ear piece's straight wire through the shoulder pad of my plate carrier then loop it back down and clip it onto the shoulder with the line clip it comes with. Have just enough wire feed so I can have free range of movement and ive never had any snags.

I just bought a Baofeng UV-82
The UV-5R is also very popular.

I'm a fan of the Ztac Cobra - much smaller footprint (didn't want that huge flap against the side of my head especially whilst sweating my bag off in the summer). It works great, and it clips perfectly onto my helmet. Recommended.

Good to know, I was eyeing it at Airsoft Depot. I'm enjoying the Evo 3 but if that goes sideways I might check out the Cobra.
